Which Region Should You Start First?
If you’re wondering where your journey should begin, the best and most reliable place to start is Hoenn.
Why Start in Hoenn?
You get all the important HMs early
Most of the important HMs are only obtainable in Hoenn. They are not available in Johto, Kanto or the Sevii Islands. Without these HMs, a lot of areas in the other regions become unreachable, so starting outside Hoenn will limit your exploration right from the start.
Hoenn is the most complete region right now
Hoenn has the full storyline, gym battles, trainers, and all the main events. It will take most of your time to finish, and it feels like a complete experience compared to the other regions.
Johto and Kanto are lighter in content
Johto and Kanto currently don’t have random trainers on routes, which makes it feel like you’re just traveling between cities mainly for gym battles. They have new areas, but the story and events are still limited because the game is in early development stages.
They’re good for fast progression, not full exploration
Both Johto and Kanto are fun to explore but much faster to finish since they don’t have many side events yet. They’re mainly for collecting badges and clearing the Pokémon League.

All regions outside of Hoenn currently offer a fast-forward type of exploration. They have new cities and routes, but many expected events are still missing. Future updates will likely improve this.

Where do I go upon finding Groudon and kyogre in this rom? The scientist at the whether lab gives out false information.
I have kyogre but groudon i can’t find. Where to use this giant’s hook?
I thought the hook was for catching Kyogre. I forgot the dialogue with the NPC who gave me the item, and he couldn’t explain it again.

Fly to sotopolose city then dive under the cave and go out 🙌🏽 you will see him then go back to Devon Co in rustboro and you battle team magma again they will pop up and you will be able to catch them also you can go to sky pillar and catch requaza after

Groundon is found in sotopolis underwater, literally in the exit of it.
To anyone looking for Groudon : remember you are a gym leader.

Best Pokemon ever! The hard thing is lost missions or I don’t know how to find Mewtwo u can cstch jirachi etc but it needs a clean tutorial/walkthrough or you miss things. Still cant find what answer to give the white rock and still dont know what badges i miss from gyms. Game awesome though!
For those looking where Groudon was, he’s on the sink bottom in Route 127 where you have to use Dive to reach Sootopolis City.
Kyogre on southern island after the hoenn league you go with May and get latios/latias then beat some aqua grunts. Get the chance at kyogre.
For groudon – go to petalburg gym defend the gym 7/8 times you get a call from Stone/Devon go see their scientist he tells you Groudon is petrified under water at the entrance to sootropolis. Hook him you go back to devon. Magma turn up, beat them you get a chance at Groudon
I have a problem with my key items storage. Actually I have 30 key items in my bag. The thing is that when I found the emerald I cant keep it cause the bag is full. So I have to get rid of one key item to get it. Where do I get rid of the secret key? Or any other key item?
